In order to cleanse the temple in Jerusalem, Jesus kicked out the money changers and
promoted the poor.
In order to cleanse the temple in Salt Lake City, the Church has kicked out the poor and
promoted the money changers.
Just think about that for a moment...
Are you an ACTIVE Mormon?
Yes? Good, you can help.
The only people that can make a difference in this abuse are ACTIVE mormons. The church refuses to listen to those
that have already left the fold so it falls on ACTIVE mormons to speak up and share their concern for the direction the
church is taking. City Creek is a disgrace and nothing any God would have commanded any man to build, in any age,
in any place, for any reason.
If you are an ACTIVE mormon please consider having the courage to calmly and lovingly make it known that you
do not support the church's use of 3 billion dollars to build City Creek even if the prophet approved it. Perhaps this is
one situation where he was unfortunatly speaking as a man, not as a prophet. How will we ever know that if ACTIVE
mormons are unwilling to EVER rock the boat and speak from their hearts out of a fear of being labeled an Apostate?
Click here for a Business Week article on the church's history of humanitarian aid. Seems a bit out of
control when you realize that the church just spent almost three times more on a mall then they have spent total on
all their humanitarian aid over the last 25 years!
It just doesn't sound like something the namesake of this church would have decided to do, does it?

LDS scripture itself condems the Church's use of 3 billion dollars on City Creek! The question is
what will the members take more seriously.
What is written by the namesake prophet of their founding scripture, brought forth by their founding prophet...
or
What the current church leadership is parroting from the pulpit...
Read it yourself and make your own decsion.
Mormon 8
(speaking of the "Last Days"):
36 And I know that ye do walk in the pride of your hearts; and there are none save a few only who do not lift
themselves up in the pride of their hearts, unto the wearing of very fine apparel, unto envying, and strifes, and
malice, and persecutions, and all manner of iniquities; and your churches, yea, even every one,
have become polluted because of the pride of your hearts.
37 For behold, ye do love money, and your substance, and your fine apparel, and the adorning of your churches,
more than ye love the poor and the needy, the sick and the afflicted.
38 O ye pollutions, YE HYPOCRITS, ye teachers, who sell yourselves for that which will canker, why have ye
polluted the holy church of God? Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of Christ? Why do ye not think
that greater is the value of an endless happiness than that misery which never dies—because of the praise of the
world?
Do you think that sounds like City Creek Center?
No?
Then check this out... it's a "word cloud" which was made after copying and pasting
the full text from the Official City Creek Website. This text was taken from the eight
major stores listed on this page:
http://www.shopcitycreekcenter.com/shopping
The word cloud software compiles all the text used in a file then makes an image in
which it automatically sizes individual words representing the number of times that
particular word was used. The words that are used the most are the largest. Those used
least are the smallest.

Still don't think Mormon 8 could easily apply to City Creek?
Then you should probably learn about this...
(since the most used words on their website are "Fashion,
Accessories, Luxury and Apparel")
Click here for a facinating write up on the financial costs of City Creek. Just a little hint... it is some of the
most expensive commercial real estate per square foot on the planet! Per square foot estimated costs are more than
3-4 times what many comparable projects in much more expensive cities have cost.
Naturally the church refuses to released the complete figures...
When sums in the Billions are at stake, "Wise Stewards" (Luke 12:42-48) tend to get MUCH RICHER! Unfortuantly
many of the recipients of the building contracts were related to current church leadership.
I'm not saying there were underhanded business dealings going on...
Like money laundering...
But hey...
if it quacks like a duck?
